About Us
Gina Victor and Mickey Carnell are the owners of Blue Pagoda and
Evolution Orchids.

Gina and Mickey own Blue Pagoda and Evolution OrchidsWe came from Columbus, Ohio in June, 2003 to Englewood, Fl. to take over the Blue Pagoda.

Gina graduated from The Ohio State University in 1998 with a bachelors in Psychology and then went on to get her Elementary Education Teaching Certificate from Wright State University. She substituted while in school and then taught special education for a year before venturing on to Florida to embark on this new business.

Mickey graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelors in Plant Health Management. While in school, he did an internship where he helped propegate orchids and then started a business with a business partner called Evolution Orchids in which they sold orchid flasks on an e-bay store. He did this until May 2003, when Gina, Mickey and Matt packed up their belongings and headed south to Florida to take over the Blue Pagoda.

It has now been about seven years since they took over and the business has steadily grown ever since. Blue Pagoda was awarded “Small Business of the Year” for 2005 from the local Chamber of Commerce. Gina and Mickey strive to always have new and different blooming and non-blooming orchids available as well as take much pride in their wedding/event florist.
